To qualify to pursue the PhD Public Health programme, an applicant shall hold a Masters degree with a CWA of at least 65.0 or its equivalent, from a recognised institution and shall provide evidence of adequate training and financial support to undertake the proposed programme. Additionally, the applicant must have at least one (1) publication in a peer-reviewed journal, out of the Masters dissertation/thesis. Applicants who demonstrate an inclination toward a career in academia or health research, or are currently pursuing a career in either of these two areas will have an added advantage for admission.

To qualify for admission into the MSc (Population and Reproductive Health) programme, the applicant should have a good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower), preferably in any of the life sciences such as medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing, public health, environmental health, pharmacy or health-related disciplines - the social sciences, development and education. The first degree should be from a recognised University/College. In addition, applicants should have had at least two years post-graduation work/job experience.

Note that, the final selection will be done through a written examination followed by an interview.
