Applicants must possess a First or Second Class (Upper Division) degrees in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical Laboratory Technology or Similar qualifications from a recognized university. Holders of MBChB or MBBS may also be considered.

Candidates with first degrees in Biochemistry or Biological Sciences, who do not have the requisite background in haematology will have to undertake a bridging course before finally signing on to the MPhil programme.

 Holders of Second Class (Lower Division) degrees must have at least two years relevant post qualification working experience in the relevant area.
