The KNUST School of Graduate Studies seeks to enhance its coordinating role for graduate education in the University and a leading centre for research excellence within the global academic community.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the School of Graduate Studies is to create an environment that facilitates the training of highly qualified students to acquire postgraduate degrees in specialized fields of Science and Technology to enable them provide appropriate research initiative and leadership in all sectors of the national and global community.

The KNUST School of Graduate Studies is guided by the following core values:

Objectives

The School of Graduate Studies has the following objectives:

• To ensure the training of high-level manpower capable of providing solutions to problems of national and global dimensions.
• To enhance the capacity of students in research and innovation towards the promotion of knowledge.
•  To ensure that graduate programmes are relevant to the development needs of Ghana and the global community
•  To advance graduate training through developing research and entrepreneurship.
•   To mobilize appropriate human, financial, and logistical resources from within and outside the University to ensure maximum utilization of available potential.
• To maximize the use of emerging technology to uimprove graduate education
• To create a conducive environment for graduate students in the University
