Research Support Fee

 The Academic Board at its 343rd Meeting held on Friday May 22, 2015 considered and approved a Proposal to change the name of “Bench Fee” to “Research Support Fee” for School of Graduate Studies as follows:

  • Departments were to make proposals justifying the use of the Fees, to the Graduate School Board for approval;
  • Departments were to provide guidelines for assessment of the Fees by students;
  • Maximum of 10% of the fees charged to be designated as administrative cost;
  • Students on scholarship shall be made to pay 10% as administrative charges; and
  • Relevant provisions shall be made for students who cannot pay the fees in full to pay by installments
